Join me for a new 10-lesson journey dedicated to one of my favourite subjects — landscape in watercolour.

Throughout this course, we will explore how to create landscapes filled with atmosphere, depth, light and emotion.

Rather than simply copying a reference photograph, I will show you how I approach a scene as an artist: how I choose what is important, what can be simplified or removed, how I build a composition, and how I use the unique qualities of watercolour to create a sense of place and mood.

We will work with a variety of subjects, including mountains, countryside, forests, dramatic skies, autumn scenery, architecture and atmospheric landscapes.

What We Will Explore

Throughout the 10 lessons, we will work on:

• Creating depth and atmospheric perspective
• Simplifying complex landscape references
• Building strong compositions and focal points
• Painting expressive skies and clouds
• Mountains and distant landscapes
• Light, shadows and tonal values
• Colour harmony and limited palettes
• Soft and hard edges
• Trees, vegetation and natural textures
• Incorporating buildings into landscapes
• Creating mood and atmosphere
• Developing a loose and expressive approach to watercolour

Course Format

The course includes 10 complete online watercolour lessons.

Each lesson will guide you through the painting process from the initial idea and composition to the final details, while explaining the artistic decisions behind each stage.

All students receive lifetime access to the course recordings, so you can paint at your own pace, revisit individual demonstrations and return to the course whenever you wish.

Reference photographs and class information will be provided for every lesson.

Personal Feedback

Learning doesn’t end when the demonstration is finished.

Throughout the course, you will have the opportunity to submit your paintings and receive personal feedback from me.

I will help you understand what is working well, where your painting can be strengthened, and what you can focus on as you continue developing your watercolour skills.

This means you can participate even if you cannot paint during the scheduled class. Watch the recording, complete your painting when it works for you, and submit your work for feedback.

Who Is This Course For?

This series is suitable for artists with different levels of watercolour experience.

You don’t need to be an advanced painter. I will demonstrate the painting process step by step while also explaining the ideas and techniques behind it.

The goal is not to make your painting look exactly like mine. I want to help you become more confident in making your own artistic decisions, understanding landscapes and finding greater freedom in watercolour.
